This is the first update in over 6 months. And that's for two reasons;
1) At the end of my last post, I told you I was growing weary of the work required to update these pages. Blogs like MySpace and Facebook offer everything I had here, but it was much easier to upload (and, some might argue, for others to access). I got back from Orlando with heaps of amazing pictures, and just couldn't be bothered to put them all online. And there the procrastination began in earnest. Until...
2) Early January, when my server died. I mean, DIED. Gone, forever, not coming back. Everything on these pages was lost from the internet. Now I'm not stupid. I have back-ups of everything. But I had almost 4 GIGS of video, images and pages online. That takes a long, long, long time to add back. Especially when I can only do it 12 files at a time. In short, that was pretty much the final straw.
The site's been lacking in updates for too long. 'News' is often months old. And to be honest, I'm not sure how many people still visit this site. Thank you, whoever reading this, because you were obviously curious enough to check in after all this time (unless you're a new visitor, in which case, this dramatic speech is probably not making me sound like a fun person to learn about).
The Twelve Point Productions site is still up and running, and will continue to be updated with whatever new movies I make. Right now that includes Gamerface, a video-game comedy series me and Austin have been working on since November. Right now we have 4 episodes up, with another in the making. We're also going to be entering the series into a competition to win a six-episode deal on the Xbox Live Marketplace, so wish us luck; it'll be an amazing opportunity.
Speaking to my friends, the ones from QE, who used to check this site every day to read about what our group were up to... don't lose touch with me. There's plenty of ways to check what I'm up to, what movies I'm making, what achievements I've got. I say this because right now I'm working on a secret project, and I'm shocked by how few of you I'm able to pick up the phone and talk to immediately.
So as for a personal site, I've got my MySpace profile. Please add me. I'll post blogs regularly, I may even upload all the pictures that have been lost. Also, I'm regularly on Xbox Live, my gamertag is Dave Moseley. Let's shoot crap together. And maybe this site will return, one day... but right now, I think I'm calling it a day on DM.com.
